April 20, 2017 at 2:49 PM
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the launch of the Tesla Roadster for 2019 via twitter.
The model 3 is already on the list with some 400,000 pre-orders lined up while first deliveries should start by the end of the year
The company is already planning to release an SUV in the coming years codenamed Model Y
The first model of the company was a limited edition roadster and only 2,500 were built and shared its chassis with the Lotus Elise.
The 2019 model will, on the contrary, be designed and built completely in-house. Its range should reach 340 miles with the 'Roadster 3.0' improved battery pack.
Definitely a topic to follow up.
